The Resource Hub was created by Team #EmbraceYourself during the Braven Accelerator Program's Community Challenge
Our Mission
As students ourselves, we encoutered numerous obstacles when attempting to find campus resources online. After talking with our fellow peers and classmates, we realized that we were not the only ones having trouble. In fact, 85% of the SJSU students that we surveyed wanted to know more about social and academic resources on campus.
A study published in the Journal of Developmental Education showed that 70% of at-risk students who accessed on-campus resources continued to stay in good academic standing compared to the 47% of at-risk students who stayed in good academic standing without using on-campus resources.
We recognized a need in our community and created this Problem Statement:
Enrolled university students need to know about relevant campus resources because when students are involved and connected with their campus, they are more likely to become successful students.

What is the Braven Accelerator Program?
Braven empowers promising young people on their path to college graduation and strong first jobs. The Braven Accelerator is a foundational course designed to begin preparing students for the increasingly competitive, globalized job marketplace. Through online and peer learning, interactive experiences, reflection, and programming following the course, Fellows build meaningful networks, discover their innate leadership potential, and cultivate skills and habits of mind needed to thrive in the twenty-first century workplace and make a positive impact through their careers upon graduation.
